60 minutes aqua running

 

I went to the rec center tonight (my regular gym doesn't have a deep-end pool) to do some aqua jogging instead of regular swimming.  Wow - that is really hard!  I really liked it and plan to do it more often.  It was fun to watch all the little kids in swim lessons (I felt like I needed to join them) and it kept my mind occupied.

Kelli-I'll have to weigh in tomorrow morning.  I didn't know where the scale was at the rec center.  Yesterday I was 142.

Aqua running - interesting concept. I've never heard of it. Sounds kinda fun! (and tiring; I wouldn't last 15 minutes)

OKAY, I will check in on you tomorrow. I am glad I got it out of the way today. Tonight was Bunko, and although I vowed to be good and not eat, I was very BAD!!!! We usually just have desert and then the treats at the tables, but she had a whole spread of stuff! The best was mushrooms cooked in butter, garlic, Marsala wine and then covered in Parmesan cheese. SERIOUSLY, so good! And the deviled eggs, little smokies, chocolate covered strawberries, some fattening drink (WHERE was the diet coke???), cinnamon bears, Hersheys kisses.....and so on. DANG IT! But I did skip dinner. Luckily I will not see a scale until Monday. Between then and now I will run 25 miles or so and pray for a miracle. Is Sunday Fast Sunday? That will help.

I hear water jogging is fun, glad you enjoyed it!!! Best of luck on the scale tomorrow!

KP-I was very skeptical of aqua running at first. I went to a pool with a deep end and wore a belt and "ran" across the pool. I would do high knees, butt kicks, skiers and then just run. I did it for an hour.

It's weird because you are breathing SO hard, but not sweating. With your knee injury, it may be helpful!
